The first stage of our three–step process is digital templating. We want to ensure that your new worktops, Southampton clients, fit perfectly without any gaps or excess wastage. With our digital templating service, this will never happen as we ensure worktops are manufactured to fit your kitchen space perfectly.
During a visit to your home, one of our experienced digital templaters will carefully measure the tops of your base units. These base units will need to be fixed into their final position before we can take any measurements and should be level to within 3mm. There are other criteria that must be met in order for our templaters to work, including:
- Plastering to be Completed
- End Panels to be Attached
- Appliances, Sinks, and Taps On-Site
Once these requirements have been met, we can create a detailed digital template for you, which will represent the final appearance of your Southampton worktops.
Step two of our process is manufacturing, and we have an impressive reputation for the manufacturing of granite and quartz worktops in Southampton. The digital template from your property will be returned to our factory and then, using your chosen material, we will manufacture your worktops to the specifications in the template.
We use a combination of CNC machinery and traditional craftsmanship to manufacture your worktops, Southampton clients. Your material will be cut, shaped, and polished to exacting standards and specifications. By utilising CNC machinery in this process, we can create intricate cuts and achieve a level of finish not possible using other machines.
Once we have completed the manufacturing process, we will check your Southampton worktops for accuracy to the template and for quality. We will ensure that your new worktops match the template specification exactly and, if there are any discrepancies, these will be dealt with. Once we have confirmed your surfaces meet all the specifications, they will be sealed and ready for fitting.
The third and final stage of our three–step process is fitting. We have a team of professionals who are experienced in the installation and fitting of granite and quartz worktops in Southampton, and they will work with the utmost care and attention. However, it is essential to the fitting process that we have ease–of–access into your property as granite and quartz worktops are very heavy and can be difficult to manoeuvre.
Both granite and quartz slabs cannot tolerate a lot of transverse sheer stress, which means they cannot be laid or carried flat until properly supported by your kitchen units. Plus, while solid slabs are more structurally sound, any slabs with cut–outs for faucets, sinks, and other fixtures are less structurally sound. This is why it is essential to have easy access to your property and kitchen, to ensure the smooth installation of your Southampton worktops.
You can rest assured, however, that we have years of experience and will know exactly how to proceed with your fitting.
